Sometimes, it is easy to take the mountains for granted because they are so close and easily accessible to most people. Being connected to nature helps increase the quality of life of all Albertans.
The Push To Open Nature Society provides meaningful opportunities for everyone to enjoy the splendor and tranquility of the Rocky Mountains and other natural areas in this province. This past summer, Push To Open lead outings in Kananaskis Country, Drayton Valley, and Fish Creek Park.
This Alberta-based non-profit group aims to both open up nature to those who have limited access and open peoples' minds about preserving this province's valuable natural areas. Push To Open combines new technologies like TrailRiders, sit-skis and outrigger kayaks with a formidable volunteer spirit to provide meaningful opportunities for everyone to connect to nature, especially for individuals with mobility issues and other disabilities.
Come explore our web site and learn how this group is increasing the quality of life for people with mobility issues by opening the doors to nature and how you can help Push To Open keep the doors to nature open for everyone.
